I have a beautiful family session to share with everyone today, but before I do, I wanted to take the time to chat about family photography. I recently (finally) had my own family photography session. I think about how much I put that session off, and for some pretty silly reasons. When my hair was right, when I got on top of all the bills, when I could find the “perfect” photographer (yeah I am fussy, but can you blame me? ;) )
Finally. I booked a family session. I now have these gorgeous, precious moments on display through out my house. A moment in my families time line that has been preserved and captured for my children.
But my youngest was almost two years old by the time I booked the session, being the second child I don’t have as many ‘phone pics’ of her and even less time to get my girls into the studio for something special… My youngest was an adorable baby! ADORABLE I TELL YOU!
But for whatever silly excuse I gave myself I didn’t get to really capture her as a baby within that first year and it’s something I truly regret, for me, and it’s different for everyone, the first year is such an amazing milestone, so many wonderful developments from a tiny newborn to a cheeky toddler with personality just busting out at the seams!
Let me just say, people, you need to make time for what's important to you, don't put your session off, don't delay for whatever reason you think up! Having these memories won't ever be something you look back at in 10 years time and say why did we do that?
On that note....
This beautiful lady contacted me one day late 2016, she wanted a family session to not only celebrate her family and their stage of life, but to celebrate and commemorate 12 months of successfully breastfeeding her gorgeous daughter! If your a mum you will know breastfeeding doesn't always come easy and it's certainly not without it's battles. Achieving 12 months of breastfeeding and over coming numerous obstacles to do so, was something just so precious so Josie and her gorgeous little family!
The session could not have been sweeter, we had perfect cloudy weather and met up on Huon Hill in Wodonga to make the most of the spectacular views and surroundings.
Albury Wodonga has some pretty awesome locations that photographers can make the most of, but Huon Hill has been a recent favorite!
So finally, here is a few favorites from this beautiful family photography session on Huon Hill Wodonga.
One last note for those interested in booking a family session, the weather is still lovely and warm but we all know that Albury Wodonga winter's are often wet, cold and not ideal photography weather conditions, I only have very limited sessions available each month so please give me an email and we can start to plan your session out and lock in a time for your family <3
