A little bit behind on this blog, but since I just packaged up this sessions gorgeous products I thought I would share some of my favorites from Miss Brianna's newborn photography session <3
That purple bonnet was mums pick for the session and oh my did it work a treat! Made of course by the lovely Sarah from Babycakes Crochet Creations in Wodonga.
Then there was this sibling shot ;)
Oh I was giggling this was the last click on my camera and the only one of them not happy snuggling together <3
It took a while for Miss Bri to settle down but this was when I knew she was sleepy enough, the arms just flop out and that little bottom lip dropped and she was out like a light for the rest of her newborn session :)
And that's most of my favorites! I am sure mum and dad have their own! Thank-you Miss Bri you were just a joy to photograph!

I was so honored to be able to photograph this precious baby girl a couple of weeks ago now, and today I got to see her again for this beautiful viewing session and marvel and just how much she has grown!
So precious to have these beautiful memories for mum and dad, Lauren and Shannon, to share and remember this fleeting time in baby Lily's life.
Jess has a bit of a thing for dusty pink and grey so I stocked up on all the dusty pink and grey things I could find and it all came together beautifully!
All these adorable bonnets (and tie back in below image) were hand made by the very talented Sarah Quast from Babycakes Crochet Designs in Wodonga. So talented!
So many beautiful images from Lily's gallery it's so hard to choose! But these are my personal favourites!
Thanks for looking and please share around :)

I have to share this beautiful family session from Wednesday this week. It poured with rain all morning and at the 11th hour finally the rain cleared and the sun poked out from behind the clouds to bring us some gorgeous light for Tiffany + Tim's Family Photography session.

One of my favorite images to capture is this set, so simple, so beautiful...

A couple of weeks ago now Emily was booked in with me to have Maternity images captured. The time and date were set and then a few days out from the session I get an email, this precious newborn bundle couldn't wait to meet me and had joined us earth-side before his bump photography session!
So instead we had a wonderful family session outside where the glowing bump was due to be captured and I got to meet Emily and he beautiful little family...
Is this not just heart melting? Nothing sweeter than photographing the new BIG sister with her gorgeous little baby brother. He will be so well loved <3
Even though we weren't able to capture the bump that was baby, I loved photographing this family. And in my absolute favourite Wodonga location too! What a stunning backdrop for a family photography session!

I was sitting in my office today, happily editing away and responding to a few emails. When I got that question, that question I had been some what dreading!
Why don't you do just digital packages like you used to?
When I first started in photography I can honestly say I didn't value myself or my work, or my time! I didn't see myself as an artist (I am actually still working on this one!) and I didn't see myself as "professional" in any sense.
The harder I have started to work, the more I value I have seen in what I do, what I create!
I put so much effort, and time for very little money when I first started, and I would often email clients to ask, can you show me pictures in your home, I wanted to see where my work was! I wanted to see that clients had printed and framed my work to see how beautiful it was "in real life" in the flesh!
You know what happened? Nothing.
I have a handful of clients who have sent me images of their printed memories! A handful. Maybe. If that. To me, that's a whole lot of images just sitting around on USB's and floating around in cyber space and facebook. so I started to ask myself... What's going on here? Why arn't people printing their images??
Naturally, I assumed to begin with it was me. They didn't like my work!
Then I thought about the photographs I have around my home! Do you know the only photographs I had at that stage printed were of my wedding? Why? Because the photographer who photographed my wedding, knew what I now know!
PEOPLE DON'T PRINT DIGITAL FILES
(ok, MOST people don't print digital files )
We are too busy! Do you know I had some incredible family photo's taken when my oldest was 8months old. I LOVE these images. I ADORE them... BUT the photographer was a digitals only photographer. I got my USB. I loaded them to facebook.... And that's it. There are no beautifully framed and professionally printed art works on my walls from that session!
I honestly had every intention of printing those images. I wanted to get a big one of me and my daughter printed for our lounge room. It's one of my favorite images.... My daughter is now just over two and half years old and they still sit unloved on a USB.
So I spent a lot of time. And I mean A lot! (Just ask my husband!) Sourcing, and finding the best products, something to SHOWCASE my work. Something to take out the hard part. To ensure my clients have their memories not just sitting in a drawer somewhere forgotten.
Of course, I see the value of the digital image, and it's why all my packages still included digital images, but on top of that, my client's also receive amazing products. Each package is designed to be flexible for my clients. Renting? No problem you can choose a package that features amazing coffee table albums, or free standing Acrylic Blocks.
I want every client to have something tangible from their sessions with Captivated Photography, if you are paying to have professional images taken then you should also be receiving professional quality products.
So, in short. Why don't I do "just digitals"? Because my clients deserve a professional, quality service. Because I value your memories too much to have them sit in a drawer.
This year we held our Mothers Day Mini's at a gorgeous spot just outside of Wodonga on the Kiewa River, the back drop was beautiful, my clients were stunning though!
Here is a few shares from these mothers day sessions that just happen to be some of my personal favorites!
